Reviving Voices

Past, Present and Future

Although Ina Boyle was the most prolific Irish female composer of the 20th century, her final major work, the opera Maudlin of Paplewick, remains unperformed over 50 years after its completion. Now, Darren Hargan has created a new critical edition, paving the way for this important Irish opera to finally reach audiences worldwide, a task which he will tackle with Le Foyer des Artistes.

Darren’s work reflects his passion for uncovering overlooked musical gems and bringing them to life. This commitment goes hand in hand with championing emerging composers, ensuring their voices are heard.
